I would like to down load some soft wares but they ask for some exorbitant price. Is there any way I can down load those soft wares without paying any money.

Some freeware/shareware is excellent, such as GIMP, Firefox, Chrome, ccleaner, open office, AVG, avast, adaware, etc there are thousands of good programs, but some is really poor quality (little usefullness) and there are some that are poorly written, or are loaded with spyware.

Also be aware software can interfere with other software so don't install something you dont need. Uninstalling it might not completely clear it from the registry (in fact it usually doesn't). Having more than one program that does the same thing may be counterproductive. An example I use to my clients is you're driving with your girlfriend and your mother in the same car. One says turn right, the other says turn left. What do you do? Choose the wrong one, you're going to have trouble, choose neither, you're going to have trouble. The most common PROOF is the amount of posts you will see on these pages about peoples DVD drives not working, it is almost always a software problem. Another is blue screens with the stopcode 0x000008e. This is a software problem about 75% of the time.
So DO NOT listen to the guy that said "download all you want". Installed software often has threads and processes that are running whether you know it or not, it may slow you down.

My advice is to target what you want, narrow it down to a few programs than ask us specifically. For instance, "Should I install open office?" In ALL forums, Watch out for the opinions of wannabe's, their advice can get you in alot of trouble.

It is GOOD to be frugal, it is NOT good to be cheap. Be careful. You paid over a thousand for your computer, do you want to ruin it by thinking you can save 30 dollars? No, sometimes it's best to just spend a little.

DO NOT choose software based on reviews in cnet (those ads are purchaced) or based on "most popular", jst because a million people took poison, should you?

Be very careful of the false economy of trying to get movies, music or software off peer to peer networks unless you you are an advanced user and know what youre doing. I work for, or have worked for in the past all three of the big 3 pc manufacturers. Appx 85% of calls coming into Dell come from SOFTWARE problems, NOT hardware problems.
