I wanna make an animate music video, but my Windows Movie Maker only accepts a few types of video files, it is bad that my source file MKV is out of the supported range. This is a troublesome problem, I just want to know if there is an easy way to convert my MKV files to AVI so I can import and use them and not have to re-download the entire anime. After searching online and reading some software reviews, and trying out a large number of video converters, I end up with one called Pavtube MKV Converter, which is user friendly, reliable and stable. Best of all, it is able to ensure HD output and audio/video in sync. Share it here, hope this helps.
My MKV is in HD quality, so my requirement is keeping HD as well, following is my process of using this MKV Converter to realize my goal. Definitely simple steps:
1. Click "Add" button to import MKV files into this program
2. Click the drop-down list of "Format" to select AVI as output format for Windows Movie Maker
To keep HD quality, I selected "AVI HD Video (*.avi)" as output format.
3. Click "Settings" button to adjust audio and video parameters
This program allows users to customize audio and video parameters. Codec, aspect ratio, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, and audio channel are all changeable in the following window.
4. Click "Convert" button to start converting MKV to AVI
As long as the conversion is finished, you can get the output files via clicking on "Open" button, and WMM will recognize them without trouble.
